This pendulum swing with the directional energy of five intuitive points of the pentacle. North, South, East, West, and Spirit as the fifth point of the star with the circle representing Unity. While the fifth point represents the Spirit, the other points represent Earth, Air, Fire, Water. As for what direction represent what element, that is up to you to decide!
